Object 219 a.k.a. T-80. Cost: 480,000 Rubles (at introduction) Engine: GTD-1000T Gas Turbine (1,000 hp; 500 hr service life) Notes: Produced only from 1976 to 1978 at LKZ. Indications are around only 200~ or less were built. Object 219R (T-80B) Engine: GTD-1000TF Gas Turbine (1,000 hp; 1,000 hr service life) Notes: Introduced “Combination K” laminate armor in the turret. Accepted for production as T-80B in 1978 and replaced the earlier T-80 on the production line at LKZ. In 1979, the Omsk plant began production, opening a second source.
