A Spanish modernization project for M60A3s which started as soon as Spain received them from the US in 1992. A 900 hp engine was installed, FCS was replaced with a more advanced one, and additional external armor plates were added. 3 prototypes were built and tested in 1994 but the project did not continue, despite original plans to modernize 153 tanks to this standard.
